Sheet Metal Tradesman

Workhorse Staffing is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Tradesman to join a metal roofing manufacturer producing custom rainwater and flashing components.

This role is focused on bench fabrication and custom work, not repetitive production.

The Role

You will be fabricating a range of roofing and rainwater components including:

• Rainwater heads
• Box gutters
• Parapet cappings
• Custom Apron flashings/ Barge flashings
• Downpipe offsets and transitions
• Sumps and drainage outlets
• Custom flashings for architectural roofing projects

Most work is one-off or small batch fabrication, requiring accurate marking out and folding.

Duties

• Marking out and measuring sheet metal from drawings
• Hand folding custom flashings and components
• Fabricating rainwater heads and box gutter assemblies
• Operating sheet metal machinery including folders, guillotines and notchers
• Producing accurate parts to tight tolerances
• General bench fabrication and assembly work

Requirements

• Trade qualified Sheet Metal Worker / Metal Fabricator or strong industry experience
• Experience fabricating roofing flashings or rainwater goods
• Ability to read drawings and fabricate accurately
• Strong hand folding and bench fabrication skills
• Experience operating sheet metal equipment (folders, guillotines etc.)
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
